Senior Application Developer (AI)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-141 Bay

What you will do

• Lead complex full-stack development across front-end and back-end systems using Node.js, .NET/.NET Core, Angular, and Blazor.
• Design and build secure RESTful APIs, microservices, web applications, integration patterns, and data models.
• Own features end to end, from requirements refinement and solution design through implementation, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Contribute to multi-year technology roadmaps and lead projects integrating modern frameworks with existing platforms and APIs.
• Use GitHub Copilot and generative AI assistants, reviewing and adapting generated code while maintaining engineering standards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, .NET, .NET Core, RESTful API design, external service integration, Angular, Blazor, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with responsive UI development, object-oriented and functional design, secure coding, unit and integration testing, API and UI automation, CI/CD, and Git.
• Ability to define application architecture, testing strategies, performance considerations, and scalable integration solutions.
• Experience taking features from concept to production and supporting secure, observable, maintainable applications.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified Toronto location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or another cloud platform, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, service meshes, SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with prompt engineering, GitHub Copilot, and integrating AI into coding, documentation, and testing workflows.
