Warehouse Team Leader (Fixed Term Contract, 9 months)

Location: Porcari, Italy; the role operates in Lucca.

What you will do

• Lead the warehouse team, including training, coaching, assessments, resource planning, and agency workforce coordination.
• Manage receiving, put-away, picking, material handling, dispatch, inventory flow, cycle counts, and stocktaking.
• Drive warehouse accuracy, quality, productivity, service levels, and process lead-time performance.
• Implement Lean, 5S, daily management, visual management, and Tier 1 SQDCP practices.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, material segregation, storage controls, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Own warehouse metrics, root-cause countermeasures, operating costs, and budget performance.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations within manufacturing companies.
• Experience supervising operational personnel, managing inventories, analyzing stock discrepancies, and using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and logistics flows, including FIFO, Kanban, milk run, picking, kitting, inbound, and outbound operations.
• Experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, with knowledge of logistics KPIs and material-handling safety standards.
• Fluent Italian and professional English at minimum B2 level are required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, prioritization, conflict management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Technical diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
