Senior Manager, Global Procurement (Materials)

What you will do

• Build commodity monitoring frameworks covering raw material prices, currency movements, supply risks, and global market trends.
• Develop material-specific clean sheets and establish transparent baseline costs for Tier 1 negotiations and margin reviews.
• Map Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers and design upstream vendor strategies to improve capacity, availability, consolidation, and direct-to-mill buying power.
• Design and execute RFPs with raw material vendors, yarn spinners, mills, and tanneries from outreach through award.
• Negotiate cost-reduction agreements and integrate material benefits into finished-goods costing with sourcing and production partners.
• Identify value-creation opportunities through verticalization, volume consolidation, and commodity buying or selling strategies.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of experience in raw material sourcing, commodity procurement, or upstream supply chain management.
• Deep knowledge of textile raw materials, including yarns, fibers, fabrics, leather, and related commodities.
• Experience negotiating directly with mills, tanneries, yarn spinners, and raw material vendors.
• Knowledge of commodity hedging frameworks and global market indices, with the ability to build material-specific clean sheets.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, comfort with large datasets, and technical aptitude for AI-powered platforms and LLMs.
• Bachelor’s degree required; experience with cross-functional merchandising, sourcing, and production teams required.

Nice to have

• Experience in upstream supply chain network design or consolidation.
• MBA or advanced degree.
