Base salary: $45,600–$86,200 per year

What you will do

• Evaluate and select risks within assigned authority limits to support profitable acquisition and retention of business.
• Conduct risk assessments, monitor risk trends, and recommend actions to meet business guidelines, profit targets, and performance metrics.
• Consult with sales and service partners, brokers, and internal teams on products, plan options, and customer needs.
• Apply knowledge of products, plan designs, pricing, contractual benefits, enrollment, implementation, and market conditions.
• Deliver accurate, timely service while building relationships with internal and external partners.
• Support training, technical development, and mentoring for associate underwriters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant business experience.
• Consistent proficiency at the Associate Underwriter level.
• Knowledge of product provisions, plan designs, pricing, contractual benefits, sales and distribution processes, and market trends.
• Technical expertise in risk selection, with strong critical-thinking, analytical-reasoning, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and owning results.
