Co-Op, Biobanking (Biotechnology)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; lab-based role with a 70% in-office work model. The co-op runs from January 18, 2027 through June 25, 2027, and candidates must be available for the full duration. Only U.S. persons are eligible due to U.S. export-control requirements.

Salary: $20.00–$60.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support biospecimen receipt, documentation, storage, retrieval, and distribution according to SOPs and safety requirements.
• Use LabVantage LIMS to maintain sample tracking, chain of custody, and lifecycle traceability.
• Support laboratory automation and robotics workflows for sample reformatting, storage, and retrieval.
• Handle biospecimens across required temperature conditions while following safety and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Support study close-out, sample reconciliation, and storage optimization for long-term biobank operations.
• Identify and escalate sample, labeling, inventory, or documentation discrepancies and prepare updates for cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in biology, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
• Coursework or laboratory experience in a relevant biological or chemical discipline.
• Basic laboratory skills, including pipetting and sample handling.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex protocols.
• Must be a U.S. person, such as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export-control license.
• Must be available for the complete co-op period from January 18, 2027 through June 25, 2027.
