Undergrad Co-op – Drug Substance Technologies Synthetics (Organic Chemistry)

What you will do

• Apply synthetic organic chemistry to develop robust processes and technologies for active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Learn process scale-up principles for small-molecule intermediates, hybrid modalities, and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Help translate developmental processes into commercial manufacturing applications.
• Interact with scientists and engineers implementing advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Support R&D, clinical, and commercial partners across early- to late-stage development.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program.
• Must be at least 18 years old and enrolled full time in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Must have completed at least one year of study before the co-op begins and remain enrolled after the program.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule and a six-month co-op placement from January through June 2027.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.

Nice to have

• Degree concentration in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, or Chemical Biology.
• Focus or interest in organic synthesis.
