Avionics Technician IV - Lead (Aerospace): Supervising avionics installation, testing, repair, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures for ISR and aviation systems with an accent on regulatory compliance, wiring, soldering, and safety. Focus on leading maintenance teams, solving complex avionics faults, training technicians, and supporting office and field operations at customer locations.
Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; work includes office, field, and customer locations with frequent travel.

What you will do
- Supervise the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems.
- Oversee complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, wiring, and repair activities.
- Document maintenance work and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Train, mentor, and guide avionics staff.
- Develop maintenance procedures and coordinate operations with other departments.
- Travel frequently to customer locations and work in office, field, industrial, and confined-space environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Expertise in avionics systems, regulatory compliance, technical schematics, wiring, installation tooling, soldering, and crimping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, work at heights and in confined spaces, and operate in noisy or potentially hazardous environments.
- Ability to travel frequently, drive or operate a vehicle, follow detailed instructions, and maintain high accuracy and safety standards.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Leadership experience in a maintenance environment and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with FCC requirements and the FCC General Radio Operator License.
- Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pitot-static equipment.
- Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
