Cleared Onsite Linux Administrator (5647)

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC five days a week

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Administer, operate, and sustain production-ready Linux systems and software in large-scale environments.
• Deploy and support DevOps technologies, systems automation, configuration management, Linux containers, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.
• Administer virtualized environments using VMware vSphere virtual machines, containers, or similar technologies.
• Perform troubleshooting and performance analysis for Linux systems, including disk space, boot, services, logs, and resource utilization.
• Work according to contractual guidance and provide customer-facing technical support during high-pressure incidents.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Washington, DC five days per week.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• At least 3 years of technical experience.
• Experience managing and analyzing Linux systems, including RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Experience with virtualized environments and large-scale systems administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer-facing communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with Linux permissions, users and groups, SystemV or SystemD services, package managers, and backup and restore.
• Knowledge of Apache, NginX, MySQL, Linux logs, and common performance tools such as top, sar, and free.
