Linux System Administrator (RHEL)

hirify.global is recruiting for a multinational telecommunications technology company requiring enterprise Linux administration support.

What you will do

• Administer, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain RHEL-based Linux servers across production, staging, and development environments.
• Perform kernel tuning, performance optimization, system monitoring, and automation to maintain high availability and uptime.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, storage, networking, system services, and enterprise Linux configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex operating-system issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and document configurations and operational procedures.
• Implement security practices involving SELinux, firewalls, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business-critical workloads in collaboration with application, network, and security teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux RHEL in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of system configuration and hardening, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, monitoring, and log analysis.
• Experience with storage management technologies including LVM, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Proficiency with Bash or sh scripting, YUM or DNF package management, and systemd.
• Working knowledge of LDAP with NSS, PAM, and SSSD, plus Sendmail or SMTP; database exposure is also required.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM, along with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.
