Electrical Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Complete preventive maintenance on motors, engines, pneumatic tools, conveyors, production machines, and other electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and production equipment.
• Work with production personnel, contractors, vendors, and OEMs to diagnose and repair plant equipment.
• Use schematics, manuals, diagrams, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing tools to identify problems.
• Document maintenance work, equipment issues, parts usage, and continuing needs in the computer system and CMMS.
• Follow safety procedures, support production goals, and help control downtime.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a 16-month course at an accredited university.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors and drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and process controls.
• Ability to read machine part lists, preventive maintenance manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with computers and CMMS, plus the ability to use calipers, micrometers, rules, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to work safely in a production environment with moving equipment and people, including use of required tools and PPE.
• Ability to work in teams and work overtime or weekends when required.

• Corrugated manufacturing and converting experience.
