What you will do

• Deliver reading instruction using provided curriculum resources to improve students’ standardized testing scores.
• Create or update curriculum and integrate applied academic activities into classroom instruction.
• Build positive student relationships, maintain classroom accountability, and support student motivation.
• Track and document attendance, performance, progress, behavior, and achievement according to program guidelines.
• Help students set short-, intermediate-, and long-term goals and recognize their classroom success.
• Prepare and maintain a clean classroom, uphold conduct standards, report deficiencies, and collaborate with coworkers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Teaching certification in the state where the center is located.
• Knowledge of the required subject area.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.

Nice to have

• At least one year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth.
