What you will do

• Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum in a supportive classroom environment.
• Develop and monitor accommodations, 504 Plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with families and Special Education teams.
• Deliver pull-out, push-in, small-group, and one-on-one instruction for diverse learners.
• Collect and analyze academic growth data, write IEP goals, and prepare for annual IEP meetings.
• Build positive relationships with students and families while coordinating resources for learning needs.
• Participate in professional development, coaching, school-wide meetings, and grade-level collaboration.

Requirements

• Commitment to supporting students’ social-emotional and academic development.
• Interest in impacting K–12 students in urban schools and communities; 1–2 years of experience is preferred.
• Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required before employment begins.
• Must meet New Jersey state certification eligibility requirements, including the applicable undergraduate or graduate GPA threshold.
• Must become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after starting employment.
