What you will do

• Observe Master Teachers and co-teach with teacher-leaders to develop classroom instruction and management skills.
• Provide substitute teaching coverage and potentially teach classes or small groups of students.
• Deliver daily one-on-one and small-group tutoring, interventions, and student support.
• Plan and deliver instruction, create assessments, grade student work, and use assessment data to refine teaching.
• Teach or coordinate enrichment classes and support student events, advisory activities, transitions, meals, and after-school supervision.
• Meet regularly with an instructional coach and participate in summer and school-year professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required by the start of employment.
• Commitment to improving the lives and learning of K-12 students.
• Self-motivation, personal responsibility, adaptability, and willingness to work collaboratively.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced school environment.
• Prior experience in schools or urban communities is preferred but not required; an education background is not required.
