Mechanical Engineer Co-Op (Semiconductor)

Location: Round Rock, Texas, United States; on-site role. Full-time co-op assignment for 6 months from January through June 2027, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Assist with developing high-purity solid precursor delivery systems for advanced semiconductor-node chemistries.
• Create 2D drawings, 3D SolidWorks models, bills of material, part numbers, engineering change requests, and supporting documentation.
• Perform hands-on component assembly and verify fitment, tolerance stack-up, functionality, and ease of assembly.
• Develop factory infrastructure supporting container builds, cleaning, capacity, quality, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate project timelines with mechanical engineering and new product development teams while working with machine shops, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support the build-out of advanced deposition-materials capabilities at international sites and drive safe, timely process improvements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university co-op program and familiar with the institution's participation requirements.
• Mechanical Engineering major with an expected graduation year of 2027 or 2028.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from January through June 2027.
• Knowledge of materials of construction, corrosive-chemical compatibility, vapor pressure, material stability, thermodynamics, and mass flow.
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics analysis and related software.
