Mechanical Engineer - Co-op (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical hardware for defense-focused missile launch systems.
• Build prototypes and support hardware development from concept through testing.
• Analyze mechanical systems using engineering first principles.
• Test and validate aerospace and defense hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Thermal Fluids, Structural, or a similar engineering discipline.
• At least 6 months of relevant internship, co-op, or work experience.
• Experience with a CAD system such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or PTC Creo.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles, strong communication skills, and ability to work autonomously in a demanding environment.
• GPA of at least 2.7; applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• At least 12 months of relevant internship, co-op, or work experience.
• Project or extracurricular experience with prototyping and manufacturing tools.
• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional teams.
