Associate Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship (Nights) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite work in a semiconductor cleanroom. Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM on a compressed 12-hour schedule.

Expected salary range: $36,200–$59,200 per year.

What you will do

• Learn to maintain and troubleshoot advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and first-call maintenance activities.
• Complete technical coursework through Vermont State University and earn approximately 23 college credits toward an Associate Degree in General Engineering.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers while following quality, safety, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical education.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Ability to work a compressed 12-hour night-shift schedule and in a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
• Ability to wear required cleanroom protective clothing and equipment throughout the shift, stand for most of the shift, and periodically lift at least 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow procedures, learn technical skills, and demonstrate dependable work habits.
• Travel requirement: 0–5%; employment is subject to applicable background-check and drug-screen requirements.

• Interest in manufacturing, engineering, robotics, electronics, automotive, or related technical fields.
