Engineering Technician 2 (Semiconductor)

Location: Kalispell, Montana, United States. On-site weekend-shift position with approximately 10% travel. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system- and component-level electrical and mechanical problems.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, and quality notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on semiconductor manufacturing platforms.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and engineering or manufacturing documentation.
• Prepare logbooks and test-procedure documentation while following safety and security requirements.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures and scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, work in tight spaces, and lift during physically demanding work.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially difficult noise levels.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment in clean-room environments, including coveralls, gloves, respirators, and face shields.
