Manager, UX Design Operations (Medtech)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work required at an hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts or San Diego, California

Salary: $144,500–$216,800 annual base salary for U.S.-based positions, plus potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of UX designers and researchers supporting the Omnipod 5 sustaining portfolio.
• Own and improve the UX operating model, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, capacity planning, and roadmap alignment.
• Standardize UX workflows, tools, templates, documentation, governance, metrics, and operational dashboards.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Customer Care, and Marketing teams to align UX work with releases and business priorities.
• Support post-market enhancements, maintenance releases, regulatory commitments, quality improvements, audits, submissions, and risk mitigation.
• Improve delivery predictability, reduce rework and bottlenecks, and balance customer needs, business value, technical constraints, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in UX Design, UX Research, Service Design, Design Operations, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading UX teams.
• Experience building or scaling Design Operations practices and leading cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of UX methodologies, research practices, design systems, accessibility, customer-centered design, resource planning, prioritization, and process improvement.
• Ability to work on-site from an hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts or San Diego, California as part of the hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, digital health, or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting sustaining or post-market product development.
• Experience implementing UX metrics and operational performance measurement frameworks.
