Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Tempe, AZ; or Chicago, IL. The role is expected to be primarily based in San Francisco or New York.

Salary: $104,700–$154,000 USD base salary, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Partner with Litigation, Legal Operations, Corporate Legal, and Product Legal leaders on long-term investment decisions.
• Build and track metrics covering outside counsel spend, in-house versus outside counsel mix, and Legal costs relative to company growth.
• Lead quarterly, annual, and long-range planning for the Legal organization.
• Own monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and accrual support for legal spend, litigation, settlements, headcount, and vendors.
• Support the consolidated forecast for the broader General & Administrative Finance team.
• Improve financial models, planning systems, and AI workflows to automate and scale recurring reporting.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a closely related finance role.
• Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis with a high standard of accuracy.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills with senior nonfinancial stakeholders.
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with planning systems or data tools such as SQL to automate and scale reporting.
• Current use of AI tools beyond basic chat, such as automating recurring reports or building reusable workflows.
