Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; hybrid workplace. Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable contractual requirements. Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.
Salary: $129,000–$185,000 annually.

What you will do
- Lead cross-functional manufacturing execution for Physics Package and magneto-optical trap subsystem builds.
- Translate program milestones into integrated schedules, material and resource plans, build priorities, and daily execution workflows.
- Manage build-readiness reviews, technical and supply risks, dependencies, project scope, deliverables, and status reporting.
- Coordinate product transitions through development and manufacturing readiness gates, including documentation, acceptance criteria, validation, and release readiness.
- Oversee production-system improvements covering process flows, work instructions, build travelers, configuration controls, training plans, tooling, equipment, utilities, and capacity.
- Track manufacturing and quality metrics such as schedule attainment, cycle time, yield, rework, throughput, work-in-process, and defect trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; an engineering or STEM discipline is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in hardware R&D, manufacturing, or low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technical projects, manufacturing execution, or product industrialization activities.
- Must be a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
- Must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.
- Experience with manufacturing operations, material planning, configuration management, quality systems, production readiness, and cross-functional technical leadership.
Nice to have
- 5+ years managing technical projects or manufacturing workstreams from planning through execution.
- Experience industrializing complex electromechanical hardware in low-volume, high-mix environments.
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban, integrated schedules, production control boards, or daily tiered management.
- Experience with vacuum systems, precision mechanical assemblies, DFM/DFA, phase-gate processes, PLM/PDM, ERP/MRP, MES, or data visualization tools.
- PMP, CAPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or Scrum certification.
