Small Bus Territory Mgr

Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; automobile travel to agent offices is required and represents approximately 20% of the role.

Salary: USD 118,000–152,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the success, profitability, production, workflows, and service standards of small business operations in the region.
• Supervise, train, coach, and provide feedback to Small Business Underwriters and AMS Assistants.
• Monitor compliance with underwriting guidelines, company standards, consumer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Set regional financial goals with field operations management and territory managers, and support agency, marketing, and corporate strategies.
• Build agency relationships through office visits and regular contact with key agency staff.
• Promote technology adoption and participate in conferences, producer council meetings, and regional sales meetings.

Requirements

• College degree and 6 years of experience in underwriting, agency management, marketing, or field underwriting.
• Superior leadership, communication, presentation, customer service, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop financial, underwriting, marketing, and sales acumen.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and develop Small Business Underwriters.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and ability to drive an automobile are required.
• Regular travel within the assigned territory is required.

Nice to have

• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• 1 year of loss control experience.
• 1 year of claims experience.
