Maintenance And Facilities Tech IV - BIRD (CNC)

Location: Onsite at 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, Massachusetts, United States of America. Must be a US Citizen and able to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Salary: $36.09–$54.13 per hour

What you will do

• Lead, coordinate, and prioritize daily maintenance, preventive maintenance, and major rebuilds for CNC machines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC controls, including Siemens and FANUC systems, while coordinating OEM and third-party support when needed.
• Coach and train maintenance technicians on CNC repair, troubleshooting, safety, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve machine reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance part quality.
• Drive Lean, TPM, 5S, root cause analysis, and corrective-action initiatives within the maintenance department.
• Maintain documentation, conduct safety inspections, and communicate maintenance priorities in daily stand-up and Tier meetings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a production environment, including CNC machines and complex troubleshooting.
• At least 18 months of experience as a senior level 3 maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Completed Siemens Advanced Controls training, either before or after advancement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, forklift, and rigging certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Must be a US Citizen and meet the onsite work and flexible-schedule requirements.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience coaching and mentoring maintenance teams.
• Experience with Lean, TPM, and 5S methodologies in maintenance operations.
• Experience leading shutdowns, retrofits, and equipment upgrades.
• Ability to write and execute MDI programs and perform advanced CNC diagnostics.
