Field Manager

Location: Multiple mobile sites across the UK; regular travel required

What you will do

• Lead field engineers delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive telecoms infrastructure services under the Genesis Maintenance contract.
• Own team utilisation, productivity, operational performance, service delivery, and corrective actions.
• Manage workload, attendance, travel, job progress, delays, access issues, technical blockers, and customer escalations.
• Monitor quality results, audits, defects, rework, and recurring failures while driving right-first-time delivery.
• Ensure safe working through site visits, safety conversations, risk controls, incident investigations, and compliance checks.
• Plan workforce capacity, develop capability, manage assets and vehicles, and collaborate with operational, quality, commercial, supply chain, and systems teams.

Requirements

• Experience leading field-based engineering teams in telecoms, critical infrastructure, maintenance, or a comparable operational environment.
• Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, employee relations, and handling absence, wellbeing, capability, and conduct matters.
• Experience managing operational KPIs, utilisation, productivity, quality, and service delivery performance.
• Practical understanding of health and safety responsibilities, risk management, and safe systems of work.
• Strong planning, organisational, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the area of responsibility.
