Unit Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Coleshill, Warwickshire, United Kingdom; onsite with hybrid home-working options under site-specific guidelines

What you will do

• Lead the manufacturing unit across production, planning, maintenance, customer service, procurement, quality, operational excellence, and logistics.
• Own site safety, environmental performance, waste reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets, CAPEX planning, gross margin, productivity, cost optimization, inventory, and material flow.
• Improve customer delivery, lead times, fulfilment, quality, scrap, cost of poor quality, and customer complaint performance.
• Implement global and EMEA manufacturing strategies, common standards, KPIs, reporting, and process harmonization across the manufacturing network.
• Lead, develop, coach, organize, and staff the site organization in collaboration with HR.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations, ideally as a plant, unit, or operations manager in series production.
• Knowledge of Lean or Operational Excellence, supply chain, inventory management, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is required.
• Proven experience improving safety, delivery, quality, and cost performance through KPI-driven management.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with extrusion, injection molding, or metal processing.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience leading change and implementing common standards across sites or countries.
• Additional languages.
