SAFe Implementation Specialist

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid work with 2+ days onsite per week

Salary: USD $130,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Assess the division’s organizational structure, delivery practices, governance, portfolio priorities, dependencies, and operational constraints.
• Develop and execute a phased SAFe implementation roadmap tailored to the division’s maturity, mission, culture, and federal environment.
• Recommend SAFe configurations, Agile Release Train structures, roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and governance models.
• Facilitate PI Planning and other planning, synchronization, review, and continuous-improvement events.
• Coach leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical teams, architects, Business Owners, and stakeholders in Lean-Agile practices.
• Develop playbooks, dashboards, training materials, requirements documentation, and decision-support materials while supporting portfolio planning and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, project management, organizational change management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Agile project, program, product, portfolio, or delivery management.
• At least 3 years of experience leading or materially supporting SAFe, enterprise Agile, or large-scale Agile implementations in a government environment.
• Experience assessing complex delivery organizations, facilitating large-scale planning and PI Planning, and coaching Agile and business stakeholders.
• Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, and SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certifications are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• SAFe Practice Consultant, Release Train Engineer, Lean Portfolio Management, or comparable advanced SAFe certification.
• PMP certification.
• Experience managing information systems related to financial, accounting, budget, or purchasing functions.
