Senior Full Stack Developer (Vue/Nuxt)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, US; remote or onsite. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required. Candidates requiring current or future visa sponsorship, including OPT, CPT, H1/H4, are not eligible.

Salary: $106,400–$159,600 annually, depending on location, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

What you will do

• Build and evolve content and community experiences on wwt.com, including articles, videos, case studies, briefings, learning paths, and discussion features.
• Develop new full-stack features using Vue, Nuxt, JavaScript, and Node.js, owning solutions from development through production.
• Improve site-wide search, recommendations, personalization, discoverability, performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals.
• Apply AI and LLM capabilities such as content summarization, semantic search, retrieval-oriented experiences, and automated content quality checks.
• Strengthen CI/CD, testing, monitoring, scalability, maintainability, and release reliability.
• Lead small projects, mentor developers, collaborate with design, content, marketing, SEO, analytics, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Experience with Vue, Angular, or React; JavaScript or Node.js; and Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience delivering applications end to end, troubleshooting complex issues, and producing maintainable, high-quality software.
• Strong communication, presentation, independent execution, Agile, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading a small project or workstream.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent education, training, and experience.

Nice to have

• Nuxt or another server-side rendering framework.
• AI/LLM-powered features such as semantic search, summarization, or retrieval-augmented generation.
• Responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Web performance, WCAG accessibility, or SEO experience on high-traffic consumer-facing sites.
