Software Engineer III - Frontend/Backend

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Estimate and complete development tasks, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain production software applications.
• Assess system issues, prioritize problem areas, and contribute to scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in architecture, design, planning, on-call, and delivery activities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Present technical work, support recruiting, and collaborate with stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience; relevant professional experience may substitute where permitted.
• Advanced knowledge in at least one discipline: front-end, back-end, full-stack, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production software.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to scalable software solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must meet applicable contractual or labor-category requirements for education and professional experience.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience with modern web applications and APIs.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue, Java, Python, Node, relational or NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, Agile development, accessibility, security, performance, and scalable application design.
• Experience mentoring engineers, collaborating with product and design teams, or supporting government and federal programs.
