LPN Urology Full Time

Location: 1850 Gateway Dr., Sycamore, Illinois, United States; onsite, day shift

Salary: USD 27.50–37.12 per hour

What you will do

• Collect and assess patient information, document chief complaints and needs, and provide pre-attending care.
• Implement delegated nursing care plans, administer prescribed medications, vaccines, treatments, and procedures, and monitor delegated IV infusions.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, wound care, urinary catheterization, and other procedures within the LPN scope of practice.
• Document observations and interventions, evaluate patient responses, and communicate with physicians, registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare personnel.
• Support referrals, laboratory work, diagnostic testing, medication ordering, results reporting, scheduling, and urgent or emergency medical situations.
• Identify hazards, report defective equipment and risk factors, and contribute to patient safety policies and event reporting.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure by the State of Illinois is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Healthcare-provider-level CPR recognition from an American Heart Association-accredited provider is required.
• Ability to perform delegated procedures within the LPN scope of practice.

Nice to have

• One to two years of experience in ambulatory care.
