Manufacturing Engineering Intern (PCB)

Location: Binghamton, New York, United States; limited travel may be required for workshops and trade shows.

Salary: $37,686–$59,567 per year, with an annual or quarterly bonus potentially available.

What you will do

• Develop and program an electronic test system for a specific function and for quality and reliability improvement.
• Apply a structured engineering approach that considers ergonomics and software interface usability.
• Collaborate with mentors and cross-functional teams to solve engineering problems.
• Define bills of materials and support component procurement while balancing functionality and cost.
• Design and analyze experiments using test samples to verify and validate prototypes or final systems.
• Document the design, publish a user guide, and present project updates to local leadership.

Requirements

• Current college junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering concepts.
• Ability to create software algorithms, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and apply engineering concepts to solve problems.
• Knowledge of project management, structured problem solving, statistical tools, and experiment design.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must comply with US export control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
