Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Perry, Oklahoma, United States; onsite. The 2027 summer internship runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, and requires availability for the full program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $22–$28 per hour.

hirify.global, part of The Toro Company, manufactures underground pipe and cable equipment at its Perry, Oklahoma plant.

What you will do

• Complete a small electronic circuit board project during the summer internship.
• Design fixtures, tooling, and lifting devices for machine tools, welders, robots, and assembly operations.
• Document the current facility layout.
• Create layout proposals to improve production-process safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and support functions under the guidance of manufacturing engineers.

Requirements

• Major in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Junior-level coursework is preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stay organized and use Microsoft Office independently.
• Strong problem-analysis and resolution skills.
• Availability from May 17 through August 6, 2027, and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• 3D modeling experience with SolidWorks or Solid Edge.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Ansys.
