Service Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa; field travel to customer sites required, up to 75% of the time

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of industrial food processing and packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Analyze technical issues, follow standard operating procedures, and escalate complex problems when required.
• Train customer operators and support production efficiency.
• Monitor service contracts and contribute to business development.
• Maintain compliance with safety, food quality, reporting, and OHS requirements.
• Represent the company professionally and suggest improvements to customer operations and service delivery.

Requirements

• Up to 3 years of experience in maintenance, service, or installation in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• N6, National Diploma, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, millwright, or a related technical field.
• Foundational mechanical, electrical, and basic automation knowledge, with experience installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment; PLC and drive-system exposure is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Intermediate English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Customer-focused approach, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and commitment to health and safety standards.

• Food and beverage industry experience.
