Company

hirify.global develops integrated quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security solutions, including trapped-ion quantum computers.

What you will do

  • Own the automated optical inspection platform for ion trap chips and packaged Quantum Processing Units.
  • Install, program, qualify, calibrate, maintain, and improve inspection equipment and its uptime.
  • Develop inspection recipes to detect and classify micron-scale defects across electrical and optical features.
  • Build automated systems for capturing, storing, and reporting test and inspection data.
  • Produce repeatable, auditable certificates of conformance and establish complete device traceability.
  • Work with science, photonics, CMOS, and equipment vendor teams on specifications, selection, acceptance, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience with automated inspection, machine vision, or optical metrology.
  • Strong Python or similar programming skills for instrument control, image processing, or data automation.
  • Experience organizing technical data through databases, pipelines, or automated reporting.
  • Background in semiconductor, advanced packaging, photonics, MEMS, or materials characterization.
  • Hands-on experience working in a cleanroom or laboratory environment.
  • Must work from the College Park office at least three days per week and meet applicable U.S. export-control and work-authorization requirements.

Culture & Benefits

  • High-ownership role focused on building a new inspection capability rather than maintaining an established process.
  • Autonomy, productivity, respect, and an inclusive working environment.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Matching 401(k), unlimited paid time off, and paid holidays.
  • Parental and adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend.
