Manager, Supply Chain (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Build, lead, and scale the U.S. supply chain organization, including buyers, planners, logistics, and receiving staff.
• Own procurement strategy for flight hardware, materials, electronics, machined parts, testing services, and subcontracts.
• Source, qualify, negotiate with, and manage suppliers while maintaining approved supplier lists, scorecards, and performance assessments.
• Manage supply risks involving long-lead items, single-source suppliers, obsolescence, counterfeit parts, and corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, production, AI&T, quality, and program management to align material availability with build and test schedules.
• Oversee government contract, export control, customs, international shipping, and supplier compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of supply chain, procurement, or subcontracts experience, including at least 4 years leading people.
• Hands-on experience with FAR and DFARS requirements in procurement and subcontracting.
• Hands-on experience with ITAR and export control compliance in a supply chain setting.
• Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, resolving complex hardware supply issues, and improving procurement processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, supply chain metrics, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.

Nice to have

• Experience with spaceflight hardware, NASA contracts, or NASA FAR Supplement requirements.
• Experience with international supply chains and overseas partners.
• Familiarity with AS9100, AS5553, AS6174, NIST SP 800-171, or CMMC requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or CFCM.
• Experience procuring EEE parts, raw materials, or long-lead flight hardware in a startup or fast-growing company.
