What you will do

• Lead and develop the Procurement team during a 12-month maternity cover period.
• Set and implement procurement strategies, supplier frameworks, preferred supplier lists and triage services.
• Drive cost management, savings targets, cost avoidance and value-for-money outcomes across a 12–24 month sourcing pipeline.
• Provide commercial assurance for business cases and investment proposals, working with Finance on budgets, benefits and management information for the CFO.
• Lead the rollout of the Atamis supplier onboarding and procurement system, including change management, adoption, reporting and dashboards.
• Develop supplier performance measures, contract governance frameworks, procurement controls and delegated authorities.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in procurement or a related commercial function.
• Strong experience in procurement, supplier relationship management and contract management.
• Proven success delivering value for money, cost savings, cost avoidance and other commercial benefits.
• Experience leading a procurement function or significant procurement transformation programme.
• Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies and influencing Executive Leadership Teams and Boards.

Nice to have

• Chartered MCIPS status or progress toward it with an appropriate CIPS qualification.
• A degree in Law, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Experience analysing supplier and contract performance data.
• Experience rolling out a procurement system or leading change initiatives.
