Entry Level Field Tech (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Field-based around Edison, New Jersey, with work at residential job sites in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and interior and exterior structures. A fleet vehicle is provided for travel between company facilities and job locations.

Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install residential energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Perform insulation and air-sealing services, appliance venting, and ductwork sealing.
• Troubleshoot technical installation issues according to client specifications.
• Record customer and contractor interactions and report them to program staff.
• Represent the program and company on-site while encouraging customer participation and addressing barriers.
• Work in all weather conditions and drive a fleet vehicle to job locations when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 0–1 years of work experience; training is provided.
• Basic understanding of residential home construction and a customer-service mindset.
• Age 21 or older with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship or immigration support.
• Must meet applicable DOT requirements and pass pre-employment checks.

Nice to have

• Six months to one year of experience or knowledge in utilities, HVAC, residential construction, or energy.
