Installation Technician I (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; Workplace: On-site. The role requires residence in Los Angeles, eligibility to work in the United States, and periodic travel including some overnight stays.

Base salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Set up and perform installation work at customer sites according to specified audits.
• Install and retrofit lighting measures, including LED fixtures, lamps, ballasts, high bays, exit signs, and lighting controls.
• Replace thermostats, install occupancy sensors, and perform caulking and weather stripping.
• Replace room air-conditioning units and perform refrigeration and HVAC coil cleaning.
• Remove existing equipment and materials from sites while coordinating with facility contacts.
• Perform physical field work involving climbing ladders, lifting, bending, reaching, and working at heights up to 30 feet.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Los Angeles, California residence and eligibility to work in the United States are required.
• Valid California driver’s license, required automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
• Current Electrical Trainee card.
• One year of electrical or construction experience and two years of licensed motor vehicle driving experience.
• Hands-on experience with lighting retrofits, electrical controls, HVAC or room A/C replacement, refrigeration, or coil cleaning; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work occasional evenings and weekends.
