Electrical Connectivity Design Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design and maintain electrical connectivity for modules and cabinets, including cables, racks, interconnection boards, and schematics.
• Translate system requirements into robust electrical solutions in collaboration with architects, engineers, and integration teams.
• Create functional overviews, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable-bundle overviews, and other technical documentation.
• Address electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, manufacturability, serviceability, and international standards throughout the design process.
• Support prototype builds, product qualification, supplier execution, and resolution of design issues.
• Share technical knowledge with manufacturing and service engineers, analyze reliability issues, coach colleagues, and occasionally visit suppliers in the Eindhoven region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• At least three years of experience in electrical connectivity design or a closely related electrical design role.
• Experience with power electronics and at least one complete design cycle for a complex high-tech product or system.
• Technical knowledge of electrical and electronic modules, including cables, racks, cabinets, and interconnection boards.
• Understanding of interfaces between electronics, physics, mechanics, mechatronics, and software.
• Experience providing technical leadership in multidisciplinary design teams and making practical design decisions independently.
