Medical Assistant NMG Neurology Full-time Days (Neurology)

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and outpatient neurology care.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update clinical information, and communicate significant changes to providers.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and other specialty procedures.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
• Communicate professionally with patients and care teams while safeguarding confidentiality and supporting patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligibility or certification through an accepted medical assistant certification body, including AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Medical assistant certification must be completed within the first six months of employment, after up to two test attempts.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
