(Senior) Data Center Technician, Liverpool (AI)

Location: Liverpool, UK; on-site full-time with 8-hour shift rotation covering 24/7 operations

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain GPU servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and structured copper and fibre cabling.
• Diagnose and repair complex hardware faults on enterprise GPU servers, including component-level troubleshooting, RMA handling, and root-cause analysis.
• Perform rack-and-stack work, hardware refreshes, link-level network troubleshooting, cable and transceiver testing, and fibre optics work.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, and power conditions and respond to alerts during shifts.
• Contribute to data center build-outs, migrations, refresh projects, and high-density or liquid-cooled deployments.
• At senior level, lead technical execution, mentor technicians, and improve SOPs and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise GPU servers, including NVIDIA Ampere, Hopper, or Blackwell generations.
• Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and operate across a broad technical scope.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in a 24/7 shift rotation.
• Existing right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid cooling, including DLC loops and liquid cooling maintenance.
• Experience leading site build-outs, data hall openings, or large cluster deployments.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior technicians.
