Junior Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom; on-site work with 8-hour shift rotation covering 24/7 operations

What you will do

• Install and maintain servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Replace failed drives, fans, power supplies, motherboards, CPUs, and other hardware components.
• Rack and stack servers, switches, and supporting equipment.
• Install, route, label, and test copper and fibre links while tracing faults to failing components.
• Receive and inventory hardware and perform general physical site checks.

Requirements

• Some hands-on technical or operations experience in a data center, critical environment, or adjacent technical trade.
• Practical aptitude for component-level hardware work, including rack and stack tasks.
• Basic understanding of network links, copper cabling, and fibre cabling.
• Methodical fault-finding skills and the discipline to stop and escalate when unsure.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site in a rotating shift schedule.
• Existing right to work in the UK required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Exposure to liquid cooling or GPU hardware.
• Interest in fibre optics and link-level troubleshooting.
