IT Network Engineer

Location: Leicester, UK; based at a manufacturing site

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Support LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and cybersecurity tools.
• Manage cloud services including Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS, along with enterprise application integrations.
• Assist with system migrations, upgrades, vulnerability assessments, and compliance initiatives.
• Improve IT support processes and participate in kaizen activities, standard work adoption, and IT projects.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager and cross-functional teams while supporting training and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of server administration, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V, cloud platforms, and scripting tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High integrity and alignment with company values.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or AWS certifications, completed or in progress.
