Sourcing & Category Expert Infrastructure Software

Location: CDR (Amsterdam - Cedar), Netherlands; hybrid working combines home working with office working.

What you will do

• Create sourcing execution approaches and category plans for global infrastructure software spend.
• Design and manage sourcing events, including documentation, supplier training, RFX issuance, and response evaluation.
• Negotiate, finalize, and manage strategic software contracts, approvals, onboarding, and compliance.
• Develop vendor strategies and manage relationships with strategic suppliers, including performance monitoring and renewals.
• Lead complex sourcing projects and advise senior stakeholders across global initiatives.
• Reduce vendor lock-in, improve long-term flexibility, and mitigate commercial and third-party risks.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of strategic procurement experience in an international organization, preferably in financial services.
• At least 3 years of cross-country negotiations with enterprise vendors such as Microsoft, Broadcom, Oracle, IBM, or hyperscalers.
• Deep knowledge of software market trends, competitive landscapes, and enterprise software licensing models.
• Master-level English business communication, both spoken and written, is required.
• Strong negotiation, project management, analytical, influencing, conflict resolution, legal, and compliance skills.
• Experience working with offshore teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, FIS, core-banking, investment banking, or other enterprise software vendors.
• Experience in a financial services procurement organization.
