Computer Support Professional (Nuclear)

Location: Onsite at Talen Energy's Susquehanna Nuclear Facility in Berwick, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $23–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Support the Systems Engineering Computer Group at a nuclear facility.
• Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting, installations, and upgrades.
• Configure IP addresses and perform other basic networking tasks.
• Update firewalls and switches when required.
• Work around plant equipment, including tasks in the radiological control area.
• Follow work instructions and procedures while working independently.

Requirements

• Experience supporting computer systems and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform basic networking tasks such as setting IP addresses.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility is required.
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Access.
• Advanced networking experience with firewalls and switches.
