Lead API Developer (Java)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Develop and unit test Java-based RESTful services integrating with external client systems.
• Gather requirements, create technical designs, and translate detailed requirements into functional system designs.
• Review architecture, design documents, approaches, estimates, and API standards.
• Lead release planning, change request management, deployments, post-release validation, and production support.
• Mentor API developers and collaborate with business, design, technical, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development, troubleshooting, and deployment experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, backend components, and RESTful or SOAP web services.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring API developers.
• Experience with Angular, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSON, and Swagger.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Apigee, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and release management.
• Strong collaboration, communication, architecture review, and technical design skills.
