Lead Engineer - Java Microservices (Java)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Java APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and promote API development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor developers and guide technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud deployments, and system health monitoring.
• Improve application security, scalability, performance, resource usage, and cloud cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Java backend and API development.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and SOA applications with Java and Spring technologies.
• 3+ years of experience mentoring junior developers and testers as a lead developer.
• Cloud technology certifications.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects.
