Lead Engineer - Java MicroServices

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Java APIs on cloud platforms using Spring Boot.
• Define and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and best practices for API development.
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline implementation, automated testing, and cloud deployments.
• Mentor and guide developers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and performance; monitor system health and manage cloud costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java backend/API development.
• 7+ years designing and developing RESTful APIs and SOA applications with Java and Spring technologies (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience and certifications in cloud technology (Azure, Google, or AWS) (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience mentoring junior developers as a lead developer (preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
