Senior Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid role based at 15305 Dallas Parkway, Addison, Texas, with periodic telecommuting permitted from within the Dallas metro area. Up to 5% domestic travel required.

What you will do

• Support and implement enterprise-wide platform changes across hirify.global's technology environment.
• Assess business requirements and their impact with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and enforce standard software development methodologies across engineering teams.
• Lead project delivery and software engineering across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate strategy, requirements analysis, design, systems integration, scope, costs, and timelines with internal and external partners.
• Supervise one direct report and coordinate solution integration with internal IT groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Progressive experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, microservices architecture, RESTful web services, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL.
• Experience with AWS, relational or non-relational databases, scalable microservices deployment, Apache Kafka, Docker, Redis, and Jenkins.
• Experience using Spring, Eclipse, Tomcat, Datadog, Cassandra, and performing database management and integration.
• Ability to work in the Dallas, Texas area in a hybrid arrangement and travel domestically up to 5%.
