Lead Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Newark, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and implement software solutions for financial information processing across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical oversight for effective delivery.
• Analyze business requirements and ensure solutions meet functional, quality, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate system components.
• Evaluate tools and frameworks that improve software development and test automation.
• Use AI-enabled tools for design, coding, and testing while leading Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, EKS, ECS, CI/CD, DevOps, Kafka, and MQ.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, relational databases, and SQL.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering acceleration use cases.
