Senior Consultant (Manufacturing Technology)

Location: Otemachi Building office, Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with regular office presence

What you will do

• Identify business opportunities and develop client solutions focused on manufacturing technology.
• Build relationships with prospective and existing clients and represent the business at industry events and meetings.
• Lead custom consulting projects from planning through delivery, managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary research, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and corporate strategy assessments.
• Prepare research briefs, reports, presentations, strategic recommendations, proposals, and client briefing materials.
• Coordinate analysts, consultants, subject matter experts, and subcontractors while providing trusted advice to senior client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in market research, consulting, and/or engineering, with expertise in manufacturing technology or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of market analysis methodologies, corporate strategy frameworks, manufacturing technology trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Proven experience in business development, project management, project fulfillment, client engagement, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project, plus tools such as Tableau and business intelligence platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, strong organization, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
