M&A Corporate Development Lead (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Drive M&A transaction execution, deal sourcing, and strategic investment initiatives.
• Align deal origination with corporate strategy through capability assessments, business model evaluations, and industry and company research.
• Build and interpret financial projections, valuation analyses, and pro forma growth and scale scenarios.
• Lead deal teams and transaction workstreams, identify critical issues, coordinate internal and external subject-matter experts, and prepare executive and Board approval materials.
• Coach and develop analysts while supporting recruiting and training efforts.
• Collaborate with Corporate Strategy, Treasury, FP&A, Controllers, Tax, and Strategic Intelligence teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of investment banking or corporate development experience at Associate level or above.
• Experience leading substantive portions of M&A deal teams at a top-tier investment bank or leading internal corporate development function.
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading college or university; a graduate degree is valued but not required.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, financial projections, valuation analyses, and communicating results and implications.
• Track record of coaching and mentoring analysts and other team members.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders.
