Sr. Director, Capital Markets (Fintech)

Location: Jersey City, NJ — hybrid with on-site work 3 days per week; travel to industry conferences, investor and banking meetings in New York City, and the Los Angeles headquarters as needed.

Salary: $270,000–$300,000 per year, plus company equity through stock options.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the capital markets strategy across warehouse facilities, securitizations, private placements, forward flow whole loan sales, and other financing channels.
• Lead the analysis, structuring, documentation, negotiation, and completion of corporate and portfolio-level funding transactions.
• Manage warehouse facilities and whole loan sale programs, including covenants, reporting, utilization, borrowing costs, refinancing, and debt restructuring.
• Build and oversee securitization programs for unsecured consumer loans and credit card products, including operational setup, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Develop financial models, analyze market scenarios, monitor capital markets trends and regulatory changes, and advise senior management on opportunities and risks.
• Manage debt investor, rating agency, advisor, underwriter, and legal relationships while leading and mentoring the capital markets team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive capital markets experience focused on structured finance, warehouse facilities, ABS issuance, and investor relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Experience executing complex structured finance and/or asset-backed securities capital markets transactions.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, risk management, analytical, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate across finance, accounting, legal, operations, and product functions while leading and developing a team.
